Detroit’s Edible Delights!

My friend Kim and I went to visit our buddy Megan, an ex-Baltimoron, in Detroit this past weekend! We had some good eats for sure!

Saturday morning we ran (literally πŸ˜€ ) over to the farmer’s market near her apt in Royal Oak. Here is what we found!!!

A whole huge pint (qt?) of fresh fresh raspberries for $5! Four scrumptious pastries, some apple pumpkin mini muffins and some bartlett pears!

To check out the rest of our delicious food finds and my market report (inspiration from Meg), read below!

So…I really like flowers!

and wow! I seriously had no idea that is how brussel sprouts come naturally! doh…

These are called fairy eggplant, they are the cutest most strange eggplant I have come across in my travels.

and look! MORE FLOWERS!

After our run we moseyed over to main street and perused all of the shops. We stumbled upon this positively delightful chocolate shop. I swear this is what it feels to be in the movie Chocolat for real! We “splurged” and got one truffle each!

The left is raspberry mousse, then peanut butter, and I got the caramel!

We also had some Mexican and Italian food for our dinners! It was a wonderful and joyous trip. πŸ˜€
