Donor Kebab and sightseeing in Alicante

Happy Tuesday ya’ll. So remember where we last left off? We were walking down La Explanada to go eat more food! And Maggie was really craving some donor kebab so that’s what we got. πŸ˜€

Apparently this cafe has the best in Alicante. It was pretty empty by the time we got there. But it was a nice hole in the wall and it was a nice way to relax before heading off for a day full of sightseeing and shopping!

So this place had sangria, and we said yes please! Definitely a good way to start a day of touring! red red wine and fruta.

And I ordered a falafel sandwich. It came in a nice hunky pita bread with lettuce, tomato and a delicious white sauce. And we had some fries with some of our meals so those were tasty too.

A pretty simple but delicious lunch, if I do say so myself. And then we got to touring, because what else do tourists do??

We found a striped up staircase and Jen and I posed on it. And there’s another thing Marfi and I noticed after looking at our pictures, I practically wore a shirt/dress with stripes on it every single day! Ha.

And the other common thread about our clothing choices were the use of scarves. NEVER enough scarves. πŸ˜›

Look at that view! This path led all the way up to the top of the mountain and to the Castle Santa Barbara which we trekked all the way up later that week. For now, this was enough hiking for one day. πŸ˜€

  1. Mmm, good sangria is hard to find in the Great White North! And I am barred from buying another striped shirt until I wear out some of the old ones.

    • hahha, I should also be barred from buying more too!

  2. Gorgeous ladies in a gorgeous place…

  3. You can never have enough scarves!

    • Haha! I am readily learning this truth!

Leave me something sweet!
