About

I am Elizabeth Maria, a 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 yr old environmental chemist from Baltimore, MD who lives in Frederick, MD with a love of strawberries and the magical city of Paris.

Having been addicted to strawberries my entire life and recently visiting Paris twice in the past couple of years, I now try to surround myself with such things that make me blissfully happy.

In the last years my love for cooking and baking has grown exponentially!

Here I will explore my culinary passions and divulge a little bit of my crazy life.

My partner Richele and I offer healthy cooking classes in Baltimore. We are inviting you and other Bmore food bloggers to come out as our guest in exchange for a little review in your blog. Would you be up for reviewing our class list to see if any of them interest you? Let me know what you think!

      Thanks! Elizabeth

  12. I’d like to add you to my blog roll if you don’t mind? I always like to ask first 😀

  13. Elizabeth! You are BASEBALL FREAKIN ROYALTY!
Thanx for your nice posting to my blog. Do I remember your granddad? YOU BET I DO!! Here’s my best Dick Hall story: when I was a brand new lawyer at a big fancy law firm downtown, our offices were in the Mercantile Building. Although I did well in law school and was really smart, I was definitely a kid from the wrong side of the tracks, so the old guys at the firm were kind of trying me out at first, not sure if I would fit in. So one day I was in the elevator with one of the senior guys and your grandfather, who was, I believe, a stockbroker, got into the elevator too. Now, as a long-time O’s fan, I knew that was Dick Hall. (He was SUPER tall and had that “turkey” gait that gave him his nickname.) So I kind of stood there with my mouth hanging open, looking up at him, in awe to be in the same elevator. After he got off at his floor, I turned to the senior partner I was with and said, “You know….I think that was Dick Hall.” Now, at the time, I was 24 yrs old, and a girl (I’m still a girl but no longer 24), and the partner was absolutely DUMBSTRUCK that I would know O’s baseball well enough to recognize Dick Hall, who had been long retired by then, out of uniform.
And, I believe, that cemented my future at the firm. They knew I was a SERIOUS O’s fan, and eventually, 7 years later, I became a partner. Possibly I owe all that to your grandfather, the great O’s pitcher, DICK HALL!!!
    Is he still living?

    • Deb! What a fun story! I doubt that that was the reason you got partner, but I bet it didn’t hurt. 🙂 Gramps was a CPA and still is! Tomorrow is his last working day of the year! He is 78 and still at it! He’s going to be on the field this summer for the 40th anniversary of the 1970 world series win. I really hope I get to see him on the field!

  14. Hello Elizabeth,

I came across your blog and Facebook page this morning, and love your work, from “Snacking on Apple Chips” (yum!) to ” Salad at Silly’s.” Keep up the good work!

My partner Richele and I put together monthly community potlucks so that like-minded people in the Baltimore community can come together to connect, share food and recipes, and just have a good time.

I want to cordially invite you to join, where One Straw Farm will be hosting my Baltimore Health Coach Community. I would love to have your strong presence and obvious passion for food and adventure at this community event. And I think it would give you something great to write about! We could even exchange promoting each other’s work.

You can check out more information about the community potluck at http://www.baltimorehealthcoach.com/community-potluck/

    Blessings

    Luke

  17. Hey! It’s been awhile – it looks like you’re doing great. I’m so glad to have found your blog. I love reading about food – do you ever feature vegetarian dishes? And, I share your love of Paris. I can’t wait to check out more of your posts. Great job!

    • Hi Mary Kate!! glad you found me! I’ve been reading your other blog now too. You going to keep both of them going?? Yes sometimes I make vegetarian meals! We’re cooking Indian food this weekend, so that should include some of those!

  18. Love your blog! Are you interested in joining some bloggers in the DC Foodies Survey? Hope you will! You can find more details at http://district365.com/washington-dc-foodie-survey/

  19. I just came upon your site because of your review of Family Meal. I was just looking up the hours, but your writing caught my attention. Also, it amuses me that a good friend (who is trying to enlarge my eating style and took me to FM last week) recently moved from Frederick to Baltimore. All balanced… Thank you and keep on writing, it is so well done.
